Biography The possibilities of using technology as a tool in education has been a vital part of Dr. Ammer’s professional research and course integration for some time. Presently he is excited to explore how teachers and students can collaborate to seamlessly integrate wireless networks and mobile devices into daily learning experiences.
Brief Description In this course, students will use multiple tablet-based applications to assist students in demonstration of the nine state mandated elements taught in this course. Collaborative team projects, creation of video case-vignettes, article reading and self-testing will be carried out via the iPads. Presentations using Keynote and access to the LMS, Blackboard, will also be done via apps. Students are required to demonstrate proficiency with Numbers, and to create videos using iMovie. Dropbox, Pages, and Google Docs will aid in collaborative work.
